Alice in Wonderland (Lewis Carroll):
There is no use trying, said Alice; one can’t believe impossible things. I dare say you haven’t had much practice, said the Queen. When I was your age, I always did it for half an hour a day. Why, sometimes I believed as many as six impossible things before breakfast.
Lagniappe is a small gift given by a merchant at the time of a purchase; it is something ‘thrown in’ . . . something extra.
I’ve been toying/playing-with a different theme on WordPress – which is a wonderful theme for folks who are REAL photographers (I’m angling for a more advanced camera – only have a simple digital camera now). I’m a very amateur photographer – with a very amateur camera – but I’m thinking of learning a little more about photography and experimenting some. At any rate, WordPress has issued a theme titled “Duo” which is a marvelous venue for photographs. My experimental blog is falsely called Lagniappe – when it is actually a hodge-podge of Nothing in Particular – however, it is something extra (or unexpected). We all like to experiment and try something a little different now and then, don’t we?
