Remembering Bud Shrake

Although I didn’t personally know Bud Shrake, I knew his writings and after his recent death, I re-read Strange Peaches and I felt that I knew him.

There have been some enlightening and interesting articles about Shrake since his death.  The most recent one I’ve read was written by Brad Tyer.

Tyer’s comment that wherever you are living  – it used to be better –  resonated with me.  It seems as though everyone always remembers the Good Old Days as being much better than the Present Days.
